Annie’s Ice Cream Dream!
Next week we will be supporting Annie to fulfil her dream of becoming an ice cream lady!
It’s been many moons since Annie was here with us at nursery, but she remembers her nursery days so fondly that she’d like to come back next week serving ice creams to the little ones!
Annie was born with Kabuki Syndrome; a rare genetic condition which has led to many surgeries over her 17 years. Annie has also developed Evans Syndrome; a rare autoimmune condition where the body attacks its own red blood cells and platelets. With this life limiting condition, Annie encounters many hospital admissions. Despite all these challenges Annie remains incredibly positive and shares her beautiful smile with everyone she meets, as she always did during her time with us at Ashleigh Nursery School.
Annie would like to return to nursery next week to serve ice creams to our children and staff. She will be raising funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice who are supporting Annie and her family so well.
We are delighted to support Annie to fulfil her dream, and I am sure the children will enjoy a special treat too! We will be buying the ice creams and making a donation. If any parents would like to make a donation too, we will have a collection bucket in the nursery entrance all week.
We will ensure all dietary needs are adhered to on the day of Annie’s visit in the ice cream van!
